It’s Not Goodbye…
by Patric Coggin / August 06, 2010
Handball Friends,
It’s with a heavy heart that I must tell you I am leaving the USATH staff. I’ve had an amazing two years with this wonderful organization, but soon I am returning to full time military duty with the Arkansas Air National Guard and it will be impossible to continue with handball on a regular basis.
I want to thank Mr. Esch and Mr. Pastorino for the opportunities they have provided to me. It has been fulfilling to be a part of such a massive undertaking, only to watch our combined efforts making a meaningful impact across the country. I also want to thank my peers, Brian Finley and Dominique Dumont, who have been invaluable as we duplicate our successes and share our frustrations from our own regions. Dan, Lauren and everyone else on our hardworking staff have also been indispensable over the last two years throughout all of my endeavors.
I want to make clear that this is not goodbye. I will continue to be involved with handball. I will always make time whenever possible to be at events, helping in whatever way I can; may that be in operations, media, coaching or as a referee. Who knows, the “Arkansas Razorbacks” may be the next “dark horse” team at Nationals.
Within the next few days I will communicate to all clubs and contacts in my region on just how the region will be organized after my absence. I want to make it clear that you will be left in good hands, and you can always call me with a question. I will make every effort to get you in touch with the correct person to handle your question or concern, whether it be tomorrow or next year.
Until we meet again…
Cheers, Patric Coggin
