This Weekend in Europe

A busy weekend saw most Americans in Europe in action.
TSV Bayer Dormagen II 24:37 Soester TV
Keith Fine started in goal, but the young team around him allowed wave after wave of attacks and squad lost for the tenth time in 11 games this season.
TV Oberkirch 33:34 ESV Weil
Jordan Weil had a breakout game with six goals as ESV Weil won a closely contested match. Weil's record improves to 5-3, and the team has overcome a slow start to climb to fourth in the Subadenliga.
TSV Winkelhaid 0:0 DJK Waldbuttelbrunn
The game was cancelled due to one of Gary Hines' teammates contracting H1N1 virus. Next up for DJK Waldbuttelbrun, a game against TSV Rodelsee this coming weekend.
TV Gelnhausen 28:18 HSG Pohlheim
Paperwork continues to hold up Patrick Oliver's German debut wth HSG Pohlheim. The team is 4-6 and int 12th place in the Regionaliga Southwest.
Dünnwalder TV 29 : 29 Pulheimer SC
In a late game Sunday night, Pulheimer SC, led by "USA boy" Mark Ortega earned a tie. Puhlheimer are locked in a three-way tie for fifth place in the Oberliga Mittelrhein. Ortega was featured in the Koln Express newspaper this weekend as well.
HSG Freiburg 28:32 TV Grenzach
Before joining her USA teammates in Poland on Sunday, Jennifer Haubrich contributed to her team's win - one of the best games of the season for Grenzach, which climbs to 10th in the 13-team Regionaliga Sud. "We didn't have as many ups and downs," Haubrich was quoted in German media. "We used great teamwork to play our best handball this season."
