European Championship Quarterfinals Live on Web

by Steve Pastorino / April 29, 2010

Eight teams remain in the EHF Champions League, which concludes May 28-29 in Cologne, Germany and determines Europe's club champion.  The website www.EHFTV.com is apparently showing the second leg of the quarterfinal matches live and free.  I've made my best estimate as to start times, but check the website to be sure.

Here's what to expect in this weekend's crucial clashes:

Sat., May 1@ 10:20am (ET) - FC Barcelona Borges (Spain) at MKB Veszprem KC (Hungary).  Barcelona won the first leg 33:27.
Sat., May 1 @ 1:00pm (ET)- Montpellier HB (France) at Chekhovski Medvedi (Russia).  The Moscow club, Chekhovskie, stunned the French in the first leg, 32:27.
Sun., May 2 @ 11:15am (ET) - Rhein-Neckar Lowen (Germany) at THW Kiel (Germany).  RNL, from Mannheim, lost to Kiel, 29-28, at home, setting up a difficult return leg in northern Germany.
Sun., May 2 @ 1:00pm (ET) - HSV Hamburg (Germany) at BM Ciudad Real (Spain). Hamburg, which recently won the German Cup, won the first leg of this series, 26-22.

Tune in and watch some of the biggest handball stars in the world in action.
