PRACTICE DETAILS
Thursday: Throwing, Passing, and Shooting Drills

- Practice will consist of proper technique, instruction, and drills.The shooting drills will include all positions.
Friday (9:30-12): Defense

- Defense will include 6-0, 5+1, 3-2-1 at half court. There will beposition by position instruction, full court drills, and half court drillsinvolved.

Friday (5:30-8): Shooting Drills
- This practice will include shooting drills and a half courtscrimmage at both goals, followed by a full court scrimmage.

All players, without exception, must register for the camp on-line by September 17, at www.signmeup.com/71877 and provide the requested information. Your registration will serve as your official candidacy for the Pan American Games Qualifier Team and help us in planning related logistics.

 

If you have not participated in a USATH official tryout since January 2009, you will need to pay a participation fee of $79(U21) or $99(Adult) -- this will include your 2010 season USATH membership.

 

Participants will also compete in the Women’s Tar Heel Tournament Practices which will be held at the UNC Fetzer Gym; located on the corner of Raleigh & South Rd, Chapel Hill.

 

Please bring plain white and black t-shirts for practices and your current US passport. If you do not have a passport please begin the application process immediately.

 

To request a waiver from attending the camp, please email mariusz@usateamhandball.org by September 17. Briefly describe your situation and reasons for the request. The Women’s National Team Selection Committee (WNTSC) will review all requests and make the final decisions for each case. 

 

For those athletes currently playing fulltime in Europe, know that your presence will be optional, but please submit a waiver to have on file. This process has been outlined in the Athlete Selection Procedures which have been posted on our website at www.usateamhandball.org/resources/forms-guides-rulebook for your reference.
