2009 Men's National Championship Final

Defending champions New York City vs. Houston Firehawks. The Houston Firehawks took New York City Team Handball Club to overtime before Gotham's "super club" prevailed for their second consecutive national title. Houston led by as many as nine goals in the second half before NYC rallied. NYC tied the game with no time left on the clock in regulation on a dramatic 7-meter throw and won 37-34. Zoran Ostojic was named the Grundfos MVP of the tournament, while Firehawks' Rodrigo Palacio earned Select Sport USA Top Scorer honors. Most Valuable Goalkeeper was Aleksandr Voronov of Houston.
