Defending champion Croatia reaches semis

BEIJING (AP) Croatia beat Denmark 26-24 on Wednesday and will play France in the men's handball semifinals.
Goran Sprem scored seven goals and Mirza Dzomba added six for the defending Olympic champions, while Lars Roslyng Chrstiansen led Denmark with six goals.
France, led by Daniel Narcisse's nine goals, stayed unbeaten after a 27-24 win over Russia.
Also, Iceland and Spain both won their quarterfinals matches to reach the last four.
Alexander Petersson scored six goals to lead Iceland over Poland 32-20 after holding off three second-half rallies by the Polish, who had six goals each from Mateusz Jachlewski and Grzegorz Tkaczyk.
Albert Rocas scored four times during a 7-0 run that allowed Spain to pull away for a 29-24 win over South Korea. Rocas finished with eight goals, while teammate Juan Garcia scored six for Spain.
