Women's National Team wins match against Chicago Inter, 28-26

The USA Team Handball women's national team redeemed an October loss to the Chicago Inter women's squad last night with a 28 to 26 victory over the Midwest's premier handball club. The national team pool is in Chicago training before the PATHF Division I tournament this weekend. "The team is very upbeat," said Dave Gascon, national team administrator. "There's been a noticeable cohesiveness on the court. They're looking better and better." Athletes from the national team pool arrived in Chicago on Nov. 14. The women have been practicing under the direction of interim coach Marko Brezic twice a day. Selections for the women's national team roster for the PATHF Division I tournament will be announced Nov. 19, with practices continuing until the team departs for Mexico. |
