USATH coaching certification program launches online

Champaign, IL - The USA Team Handball Coaching Education and Certification Program has teamed with the American Sport Education Program (ASEP) to provide online training opportunities for USATH coaches through the ASEP Coaches Education Program.
"We are very pleased to team up with the American Sport Education Program in providing our coaches with a unique opportunity to broaden their professional knowledge through high quality online courses which will supplement our in-house on-site education and certification programs," says Mariusz Wartalowicz, USA Team Handball technical director.
The online course offerings and corresponding certification levels are as follows:
The ASEP Coaching Orientation course satisfies the USA Team Handball Coaching Certification Program Level 1 "Gateway" and Level 2 "Milestone" requirement of a Foundations of Coaching course.
The ASEP Coaching Principles course satisfies the USA Team Handball Coaching Certification Program Level 3 "Insight" requirement of a Foundations of Coaching course.
The ASEP Sport First Aid course is a required course for both Level 1 "Gateway" and Level 2 "Insight" licenses.
"I am excited to partner with USA Team Handball to provide ASEP coaching education courses to handball coaches across the country," says Jim Schmutz, ASEP executive director. "Most importantly, these courses will enhance the ability of coaches to provide the highest quality experience for their teams, consistent with the mission-focused efforts of USA Team Handball," states Schmutz.
