Born in Long Island the day the Mets won the World Series, Roy Edmondson was perhaps pre-destined for a life in sports.

But the childhood hockey, football and basketball player wasn't cut out for professional sports. He instead embarked on a career working behind the scenes on a TV show for ESPN, a sports events planner for Disney and an NHL promoter.

His journey through the world of sports has brought him to Myrtle Beach.
