Futures Program
Created in Dec. 2008, the Futures Program enables youth to play handball in Colorado Springs, and to date, more than 20 athletes from the program have been named to USA Team Handball's Youth National Team Pool. In 2010, the ambitious Futures Program will expand to six new locations: Los Angeles, Denver, Salt Lake City, Dallas, Bozeman, MT and New Jersey. The growth of Futures will support the development of young athletes in these locations and continue to increase the number of handball players in the United States.
Each program will recruit the top female athletes from their region and run an 8-week program in the spring. A team will be selected from this group of athletes to the National High School Tournament in Colorado Springs over Memorial Day weekend.
