USA Team Handball Announces Election for Beach Athlete Director

Colorado Springs, CO – July 5, 2024 – USA Team Handball is pleased to announce a special election to fill the remainder of the current Beach Athlete Director term on its Board of Directors. This election is an essential step in ensuring continued athlete representation and leadership within our organization.

The Beach Athlete Director plays a crucial role in advocating for beach handball athletes and contributing to the strategic direction of USA Team Handball. The current term is set to expire on December 31st, 2024. 

Timeline:

July 8th - The list of eligible candidates and voters is confirmed. The individuals will be directly contacted via the email listed on their Sport:80 account.

July 15th - Deadline for self-nominations of candidates.

July 16th - Announcement of candidates.

July  22nd - 24th - Virtual election

July 25th - Announcement of election results.

Eligibility:

The Beach Athlete Director shall be a person that is eligible per Section 6 of the USATH Bylaws and specifically shall, within the ten (10) years preceding the election, have represented the United States in the IHF Beach World Championships, the Pan American Beach Championships or its successor the NORCA Beach Championships, the World Beach Games or the World Games. The Beach Athlete Director shall be directly elected by athletes who meet the standards set forth in the preceding sentence.
