Registration Open for Athletes Interested in Being Selected for 2025 IHF World Men’s Handball Championship

USA Team Handball is pleased to announce its intention to compete at the 2025 IHF World Men's Handball Championship, set to be held from January 14th to February 2nd, 2025. The tournament will be co-hosted by Croatia, Denmark, and Norway, and have thirty-two national teams battling for the world title.


The United States has been slotted into Group E alongside Norway, Brazil and Portugal, and will play its' group stage matches in Oslo.


All athletes at least 16 years old at the time of competition who are interested in possible participation must submit their candidature for selection at usateamhandball.sport80.com under "Upcoming Events" or in the "Camps" tab on the user's profile.


The registration will close on November 10th, 2024 at 11:59pm MST.


All submissions will be evaluated based on selection criteria and will be applied to decide on possible selection by the Selection Committee no later than November 15th, 2024.


All athletes’ selections will be done in accordance with selection procedures published on the USA Team Handball website (www.usateamhandball.org/team-usa/selection-procedures).


Virtual/Video Submission Evaluation Dates: (October 15th - November 10th)


Submit videos and complete all required information through USATH designated email address: julio.sainz@usateamhandball.org. 


Registration: Pre Registration required through USATH’s membership system, usateamhandball.sport80.com.


All athletes must have a valid USATH membership, a valid and unexpired US passport, and have successfully completed the Safe Sport online training.



Handball experience: Not required. However, according to selection criteria:

Athletes’ Intake Form (for new athletes only): Required. Form must be completed at the time of the registration. Form can be found on this page: www.usateamhandball.org/athlete-intake-form


Medical Insurance: Required. All participants must show proof of primary insurance coverage.
