Raised in a military family, his upbringing spanned diverse locations, from Southern California, New Mexico, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and San Francisco. Has an identical twin brother who competed with him at Vanderbilt. A former Division 1 soccer player that converted to beach handball after moving to Los Angeles. Was named San Francisco High School Player of the Year, helping his team win back to back championships, the first in 32 years. Has the nickname “Beast Mode,” which was started by his Team USA teammates during the filming of a sports competition show hosted by JJ Watt on FOX.
Earned individual awards in three different offensive positions at international beach handball tournaments: Best Left Wing, Best Pivot, and Best Right Wing.
Also works as a user experience (UX) Designer, contributing to iconic games such as "CityVille" by Zynga, which was added to the Guinness Book of World Records as the most popular Facebook App and the biggest social network game ever made, and "World of Warcraft," the most popular MMO of all time.
