Daughter of Joachim and Brita...Sister of Hendrik, who is also playing for USA Team Handball….Was born in Boston and moved to Germany (Cologne) when she was two years old...Got introduced to handball at the age of 12 through her brother and fell in love with it as well....Quickly decided to become a pivot, after finding that left/right back was not for her, despite people telling her that with her height she should not be a pivot...After graduating from high school, she moved to Aachen to study medicine...Decided to take a break from handball to settle in, but very quickly realized she could not do without it...Hobbies include other sports such as skiing, traveling, reading books and photography.
