Grew up in Germany – since his mother is American, he's always felt his heritage strongly...Initially started his athletic career playing soccer, switched from soccer to handball in third grade...Spent his junior year of high school in Kirkland, Washington, where he stayed with his uncle and his family...During that year, got a chance to try other sports, playing varsity football and soccer...Back in Germany, he played in the youth handball league before starting in adult leagues...Has played for two years on second league teams and is currently on a third league team...Is studying mechanical engineering.Career Highlights
