USA Team Handball Opens Applications for Women's Senior and Junior National Team Coaches

[Colorado Springs, CO – February 17, 2025] – USA Team Handball (USATH) is pleased to announce that it has officially opened applications for the positions of Women’s Senior National Team Head Coach and Women’s Junior National Team Head Coach in preparation for key international competitions in 2025.

The selected Women’s Senior National Team Head Coach will lead the U.S. team at the upcoming North American and Caribbean Handball Confederation (NACHC) Women’s Championships, a critical event on the path to international success. Simultaneously, USATH is also launching a formal selection process for the Women’s Junior National Team Head Coach for the NACHC Junior Pan American Games Qualifier.

As part of this transition, USATH determined that Edina Borsos will not continue as Women’s Senior National Team Head Coach. Edina Borsos has served as the Women’s Senior National Team Head Coach since July 2021. USATH remains in discussions with Borsos regarding a continued technical and advisory role to continue leveraging her expertise and experience to the development of the Women's National Team program's growth, structure and competitiveness.

The contemporaneous process for the Junior National Team leadership marks a step toward formalizing USATH’s Junior National Team staffing structure, ensuring alignment with best practices in coaching selection and long-term national team development.

Qualified candidates interested in applying for either position can find more details in the accompanying Selection Procedures and may submit materials for consideration to CoachingApplication@handballusa.org by March 1, for consideration by the Coaching Selection Committee. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the positions are filled.
