Men's National Team Prepares For Emerging Nations Tournament, Final Roster Announced

USA Team Handball announced today the 14 players named to the final roster for the 5th IHF Men's Emerging Nations Championship, set to be held in Varna, Bulgaria from March 11-16.
MEN’S NATIONAL TEAM BY POSITION – EMERGING NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL ROSTER
GOALKEEPERS: Mattia Cercola, Pal Merkovszky
BACKS: Amar Amitovic, Aaron Hamm, Joey Stromberg, Matisse Walker
WINGS: Maximillian Binderis, Oliver Mate Edwards, Lukas Hansen, Gary Phillips
PIVOTS: Drew Donlin, Sigorour Guarino, Daniel Hunyadi
The United States is slated into Group B for the preliminary round of the tournament, joined by Azerbaijan, Nigeria, and the Republic of Moldova. Bulgaria, Cyprus, Great Britain, and Paraguay will round out the competition field.
Primarily a U-24 tournament, each team can roster a maximum of three players who are older than 24 years of age. The American squad last competed in the Emerging Nations tournament in 2019, where they finished in 5th place.
