“This is our third participation in a row in this category (2019, 2023), and we always strive to do better," Danilo Rojevic, Jr. Men's National Team Head Coach, said. "This time, it seems we got a more approachable Round Robin with Sweden, Japan and South Korea. But this will nonetheless be a very challenging mission. Our goal is to be competitive against teams from Asia, so we get into the Presidents Cup matches prepared and ready to win games.”

The United States are slotted into Group C, alongside Japan, South Korea, and Sweden. All fourteen athletes from the recent Gold Medal performance at the IHF Trophy - Intercontinental Phase are included in the provisional roster. Additionally, Edwards, Gordon, Grabner, McCauley, Morawski, and Wide featured at the 2023 IHF U21 Men's World Championship, where the American side had a 27th-place finish.

“The U21 World Championship is a prime event with soon-to-be world class players. Two years ago, this event put the spotlight on players who are now dominating European handball like Renārs Uscins (Germany), Elias Skipagøtu (Faroe Islands) or Dominik Kuzmanovic (Croatia). This is the opportunity for our talents to prepare their transition into the Sr. Men’s National Team and adult competition. It’s important we continue growing our pool to serve the needs of our national team for LA28 and especially beyond."
