USA Team Handball Announces New Appointments to the Athlete Advisory Council

Colorado Springs, CO – USA Team Handball (USATH) is pleased to announce the five athletes named to the USA Team Handball Athlete Advisory Council (USATH AAC), effective March 1, 2025, following the election processes of recent weeks. These individuals, each representing their respective national team programs, will serve four-year terms, advocating for athlete interests and contributing to the continued development of handball in the United States.

The newly appointed members are:

  • Ian Hueter (Men’s Indoor National Team Representative) – Hueter, a seasoned leader within the US program, most recently competed for the USA at the 2025 IHF Men’s World Championship and brings a wealth of experience from international competition.
  • Ariane Clerc (Women’s Indoor National Team Representative) – Clerc represented the USA at the 2023 NACHC Women’s Indoor Championship and will bring her competitive experience and insight as a recent US Collegiate player to the THAAC.
  • Cedar Bellows (Women’s Beach National Team Representative) – Bellows enters her second term on the THAAC, having most recently competed at the 2024 IHF Beach Handball World Championships, continuing her advocacy for the beach discipline.
  • Drew Bradley (Men’s Beach National Team Representative) – Bradley also represented the USA at the 2024 IHF Beach Handball World Championships, and will provide a strong voice for the growing beach handball community.
  • Mackenzie Johnson (Wheelchair National Team Representative) – Johnson brings valuable perspective as a competitor at the 2024 IHF Wheelchair Handball World Championships, ensuring representation for adaptive handball athletes and the nascent, World Silver-medal winning Wheelchair program.

These five newly appointed representatives will join Drew Donlin, Julia Taylor, and Jason Borchik, the Athlete Representatives to the USATH Board of Directors, to form the eight-member USATH Athlete Advisory Council. The THAAC plays a vital role in representing athlete perspectives in governance, high-performance decision-making, and broader initiatives within USA Team Handball.
